Meet Our Team
Steve Johnson
President,
Founder
Steve has 22 years of experience in mechanical construction. He received his BA from the University of Washington and his MBA from Seattle University.

Steve started SJS in May of 2005. Over the past 15 years Steve has been integral in building a team of 100+ employees.
​
Steve's focus is on continuing to build the best team possible and continuing to provide customers with successful projects. He truly believes in the saying "be the solution not the problem."
Craig Coffey
Associate Principal, Senior Project Manager
Craig has 24 years of industry experience. He received his BS in Business Administration from the University of Montana with a double major in Accounting and Finance. He worked in accounting and financial positions first and then decided to start his plumbing apprenticeship in Colorado. He finished his apprenticeship in Florida.
Over the last 24 years Craig has designed, estimated, sold, installed, and managed hundreds of plumbing and mechanical projects. He holds plumbing licenses in both Washington and Florida.

Building and maintaining relationships in the Washington construction industry is paramount to Craig.
​
Craig became an owner in 2018.
Megan Miller
Associate Principal,
Senior Project Manager
Megan has 8 years of experience in mechanical contracting. Before joining SJS she taught academic writing and literature courses at the University of Washington, where she earned her PhD in English. She also has her MA in English from the University of Washington, and her BA from the University of Chicago.

She has focused on estimating and managing multifamily plumbing projects since 2013, with 16 projects and more than 2,300 apartment units completed. She enjoys working with her team to solve problems and improve operations.
​
Megan became an owner in 2018.

Superintendents
Together our superintendent team ensures that our field operations run smoothly--that we complete our work on time and deliver an exceptional product. Our superintendents wear many hats, but one of their most important roles is to act as liaisons between our skilled union plumbers, our project management team, and our customers.
